KIDS COUNT.

Pollen, a leading voter education app, loot, the Brooklyn comic book shop , and creative studio Krool Toys, has developed a ballot for kids. This ballot focuses on the 2020 presidential election, and gives kids the opportunity to participate in the big conversations already happening around them.

The ballots are being introduced as part of a new voter education workshop at loot’s comic shop in Brooklyn. After six months of being closed due to COVID-19, the shop has reopened for in-person art classes. The main topic of discussion amongst the kids? The upcoming election and controversy around candidates.

Although these ballots aren’t official, they encourage voting as a habit at any age. Download the ballot and host an election at home, or share it with your friends and family. Every vote counts.

We want to raise the bar on civic literacy. We all want to see change, but as a country, we need to get smarter about how our system of government works, who our leaders are, and what our opportunities for action are. It’s important that we engage our young people in this process, because they’re going to be our leaders really soon.
— Audrea Soong, CEO @ Pollen
Kids are already talking about voting a lot and we want to provide them an opportunity to do something about it. There are some products out there that try to tackle various elements of voter education. Pollen is the most comprehensive and intuitive solution.

We jumped at the chance to rethink a ballot for kids. We focused on the importance of creating the habit of voting for kids, and giving them the opportunity to take action on conversations that are already happening in their daily lives. With this ballot, families can even host elections in their own homes.
